Binna Green
Omo Warrior
Clay
Binna Sue Green was raised and educated in Miami Beach, FL. She lived and New York and Italy where she worked as a sculptor, during which she was influenced by the work of Brancusi and Arp, which provided the incentive to concentrate on her interest in the development of form. Her early work was hard edge, abstract, highly polished stone and bronze. In recent years, Ms. Green has been working in clay, concentrating on figurative subject matter. Binna strives for form and then for form and, finally, for form.
This piece is the head of an Omo Valley Warrior (Ethiopia), painted and adorned in the style of his tribe.
