Carol has been interested in photography since she was a child, when her father had a Rolleiflex and a darkroom. She became seriously interested in photography in 1980 when she got her first 35 mm camera for black and white photography. Now that the digital age of photography has arrived, Carol has an even keener interest. She loves to explore the possibilities of digital imaging and Adobe Photoshop.
This piece was scanned from a kodacrome slide shot in 1985. Carol was driving around looking for interesting shots when she saw this old store. After a couple of shots, the owner of the store became suspicious and ran her off before she could move in and photograph her favorite part, the texture.
