Owl Nebula
24" x 30"
Acylic on Paper

I follow my artistic intuition to create in various materials. Most of my work is in mixed-media with woven sculptures (metal and fiber) dominating. I'm fortunate to have work in the White House and American Embassies.
Always awed by the Cosmos, I decided to paint it! This particular piece is the “Owl Nebula”. An interesting phenomena occurred when the interior jets and blobs of material propelled outward, piercing holes into the sphere of gas and dust. This nebula got its name from the large eyes sculpted by these jets! Fascinating.
