Hearts, angels, twigs, a bejeweled cat and songbird keep you company as you move painted spools around the checkerboard. "Pink" was designed and hand painted specifically for the "Doors of Asheville."
Francine is known as "The Twig Diva" for her many folk are twig creations. Each piece of wood is hand painted and complemented with red dogwood twigs, crepe myrtle branches, chestnut twigs, dried leaves, seed pods, dried fruit, pine cones or natural raffia. Her twig creations include hand painted checkerboard tables, chalk boards, mirror frames, bird feeders, bird houses and serving trays. Francine uses various types of wood planks that include Northern White Cedar, Ash, Walnut, Brazilian Tiger Wood, Splated Maple, Wormy Chestnut, and Pennsylvania Barn Siding.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Francine now makes her home in Candler, NC. Her other interests are gardening, travel, music, reading and cooking.
