Kathleen has degree in graphics and fine arts from Northern Virginia Community College. She works with varied media, including acrylic paint, mixed media, plastic sculpture, paper collage, assemblage, ink, colored pencil, pastel and photography. In the DC area, she worked as a graphic designer for George Mason University before setting aside her love of art to raise her family. Kathleen moved to Asheville a few years ago to to pursue and nurture her love of art. Kathleen is currently studying under popular artist and teacher Emily Ellingsworth and her work has been shown at the Grove Arcade Corner Market. This is her first time participating in the Doors of Asheville.
