Robin Dreyer is the communications manager at Penland School of Crafts. Each year he makes thousands of digital photographs for Penland and dozens of handmade pictures in his darkroom studio at home. His work has appeared in magazines, books, and countless Penland publications and promotional pieces. His work is in the collection of the Asheville Art Museum.
About this piece, Robin says, “I'm interpreting our theme loosely, but these dogs are hanging out at the "door" of their turtle-shell cave. I should try to say that this picture is a statement about shelter, but it's actually just silliness.”
