Heather has a passion for layering color and pattern to create a visual illusion and metaphor in her work. She combines a sense of mystery, story and nostalgia to invest a distinctive meditative space. She received her BFA in Painting and Sculpture from the University of New Hampshire and MGA in Artisanry from the University Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her work has been show nationally and internationally and is in the collections of the Racine Art Museum (WI). Her interest in other cultures has led her to teach and lecture in the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Nepal. Her work has appeared in Fiberarts Magazine, Surface Design Journal, American Craft Magazine, Art Quilt Magazine, Fiberarts Design Book V, VI and VII, and International Textile Design.
