Linda is a mixed media artist who moved to Weaverville from Tallahassee. Her art career began in the fall of 1999 when she had a vision and set out to create what she had been shown. She is self-taught and her journey has included many classes and workshops with studies in pottery, loom weaving, basket making, stained glass, papermaking, jewelry, quilting, decorating, natural healing, hypnosis, polymer clay and fabric surface design.
These assemblages are an expression of my spiritual journey. My latest series is entitled “Messages and Emissaries for Planet Earth.” My intention is to convey a message of renewed hope and joy. This art is meant to be a daily reminder or a wake-up call, to keep in our conscious awareness some loftier choices and in-tune ways of living our daily lives.
