Tom is a mostly self-taught artist. He likes to work with a variety of materials and media. He generally uses house paint, which he likes to recycle, and asphalt, which he enjoys because of the color that goes from a nice brown to a deep, deep black. This piece includes dirt, rocks, a mesh screen and plywood. His work focuses around alternative ancient history, ancient esotericism, mysticism and symbolism.
So much of our history tends to get lost in time, in the archive and libraries of the past and present, buried underground, underwater and now even in outer space. This is a small memory of what was and what is to come.
