Cat & Mouse
Mixed media collaboration

Paul Frehe has been working as an artist for more than 35 years, using clay as his primary medium. Growing up in Southern California, he studied art at both University of California San Diego and Long Beach State University. In the 1970s he established a business making hand-thrown stoneware pottery. He was eventually sidetracked into a different line of work but returned to ceramics upon moving to Asheville in 1993. His current work ranges from the whimsical to that which is socially or politically motivated. It is fun and decorative and incorporates unusual shapes, colors and humorous expressions. His figurative sculpture explores aspects of personal lives and inner conflicts as well as the human connection to the natural world.

Binna Sue Green was raised and educated in Miami Beach, FL.  She lived in New York and Italy where she worked as a sculptor.  During that phase of her career, she was influenced by the work of Brancusi and Arp, which provided the incentive to concentrate on her interest in the development of form.  Her early work was hard edged, abstract and highly polished stone and bronze.  In recent years, she has been working in clay and concentrating on figurative subject matter.  Using this new choice of media, she continues to strive to enhance form via the movement of light over her pieces.

Please note: Cat is separate from the base. To display, set cat on base with mouse to the right side of the cat.
